Erin Mulvehill is a young photographer currently based in Brooklyn, New York. The photos in her stunning and hauntingly beautiful Underwater series are dedicated to the waters of the Gulf of Mexico. The series is an eerie collection of pictures of what resembles young women trapped under ice, frozen in time. Despite its name, the pictures were not actually taken underwater, but in a studio on analog 35mm film.
